Makers Mark
2020
Intro
I was the Project Manager for this campaign, and from the very start, I had the task of making this happen in a unique and impactful way. After some thought, I realized that people in New York had their existence limited to the view from their windows or the landscape while they walked to and from their local stores. That is where we came up with the “Remarkable Burrough” campaign. A dedication to the community and designed by one of their own. We located a super talented artist Bianca Romero and commissioned her to create the murals and merchandise.
We knew that finding the artist was not enough; I thought of a way to bring the allure of fans rushing to see art hung in different locations and some cases trying to take the art with them. To create this, I decided that each mural would need to be in areas where people walk and take pictures of all the art they see. We would then hide QR codes in each mural that took their phones to a prize website where they won merchandise and a chance to win a customized Makers Mark bottle. The campaign not only caught the attention of all of Brooklyn but also all of NYC.
